Kristen Gaerlan (she/her) is a VP Associate Creative Director, a writer, and a native New Yorker. Her roots are in the Bronx, and her deeper roots are in the Philippines.
After earning her B.B.A. from the George Washington University's School of Business. She is an award-winning creative whose clients include Fortune 500 companies, award-winning theater productions, and nonprofit organizations over a span of 10+ years. Formerly at Publicis, she was part of The Den, a creative incubator dedicated to new business and marquee campaigns for the CCO. Currently at Lippe Taylor Group, she leads as a VP Associate Creative Director across multiple accounts.
Kristen is also a published creative nonfiction writer. Her work has been featured in the Rumpus, Bustle, McSweeney’s, and others. She was a speaker at BinderCon, a conference for women and gender-nonconforming writers, as well as a reader at the Brooklyn Book Festival. She serves as the co-lead of Not Your Model Minority, the AANHPI employee resource group at Lippe Taylor, and is now a proud board member of Laal.
