Nuha Fariha (she/her) is Laal's Development Coordinator. Nuha has a diverse range of work experiences including Fiction Editor for the New Delta Review, Graduate Teaching Assistant at Louisiana State University, Research Assistant at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia & the International Children's Heart Foundation, and Mayor's Intern for the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disabilities in the City of Philadelphia.

Nuha is drawn to projects that put people and communities first. She believes that through community, we will find liberation. Nuha deeply admires how Laal is led by the strength of Bangladeshi womxn in Norwood. As a Bangladeshi womxn herself, Nuha is constantly inspired by the work Laal does every day and hopes to find the same strength in her own life.

In 2017 Nuha received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Asian American Studies from Cornell University. In 2024 Nuha will receive a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Louisiana State University.
